Mindset Shifts to Make Today!

Hey babes! Over the past few months, I have been doing a lot of soul searching, and making some necessary shifts in my life and business. And when I tell you that it is so refreshing and has me feeling more connected and truer to myself… I ain’t lyin’. Blocks and walls that I kept running into made it abundantly clear that it was time to dig deep and do the hard work to determine what exactly my calling is, and how I need to be (and WANT to be) showing up for my clients… and for YOU, my dear blog reader.

Here are some of the shifts I’m making:

1. Stepping more into my natural feminine energy.

2. Stepping away from all MLMs and network marketing.

3. Working to be more transparent in sharing my story of trauma and recovery in order to help others.

These are just a few of the shifts I am making, and I am excited to share more with you in time. For now, I’ll tell you, it is because of all the shifts I’ve made that I am now crystal f*cking clear on what I need to do moving forward. I know I was put on this earth to help the woman who is stuck in her story. The woman who lives a life she is simply “okay” with at best. She is terrified to discover and work through complex trauma from her past. Terrified to want more, even though she knows damn well she has more than enough potential. I am destined to help her on the path to the life she is meant to have. To the life she deserves to live.

Are you that woman? Does that ring a bell somewhere deep inside you? If so, I want you to stick around over the next 4 weeks. Starting TODAY, I am beginning a workshop-style blog series designed to help you step out of where you are stuck and into the life you were meant to live. One with passion, confidence, and growth! We will talk mindset shifts, complex trauma education, processing and releasing trauma, gaining confidence, and tangible tools to help you build a life you’re wayyy more than “okay” with! Sound good? …Now get comfy, get your pen and paper, and subscribe to be sure you’ll get all the rest of the workshops right to your email as they are posted!

Opening Your Mind to the Shift

If my words above resonate with you in any way, and you’re really ready to make a change in your life and get unstuck, the first change you’re going to need to make is all in your head. Yep, for real. Receiving the lessons in this blog series, or any of my coaching, will first require you to open your mind to change. There is no way for me - or anyone else - to help you if you’re not willing to make a mindset shift. You must be willing to move from a fixed mindset into a growth mindset. It’s all about that shift, friend!

Fixed Mindset

If you believe that the life you’re living is the best you are capable of; that being “okay” is good enough; that your current situation, skills, and abilities are all that you will ever have… If you keep coming back to thoughts like these, then you are living in a fixed mindset. It’s a common misconception that some people are just made for greatness and others are not. It might appear as though some people naturally have whatever resources it takes to succeed – skills, education, money, time, etc. You might feel that that those resources simply aren’t available to you, and therefore, you do not have the same potential. That, my friend, is a fixed mindset. For those living in a fixed mindset, it’s difficult or impossible to see the potential to grow and succeed beyond what you already have.

Characteristics of a fixed mindset:

1. Believes intelligence and abilities are inherent, regardless of effort.

2. Struggles to accept feedback.

3. Threatened by the success of others.

4. Gives up quickly.

Growth Mindset

With a growth mindset, every resource, ability, and skill is attainable to anyone willing to work for it. Every person has the same hours in a day, and the same opportunity for success. Now, obviously some people are further on their journey to success and prosperity. However, to the person with a growth mindset, the potential is endless. Every person has the opportunity to succeed and grow as far as they are able to imagine if they are willing to put in the effort.

Characteristics of a growth mindset:

1. Believes any amount of intelligence and ability is attainable through effort.

2. Accepts and utilizes feedback to grow.

3. Inspired by the success of others.

4. Sets goals and works steadily toward them, finding solutions to each setback.

Shift that Mindset!

It is absolutely necessary that you work on moving into a growth mindset if you want growth. Shift your mindset. Shift EVERYTHING. This is the most important piece in getting unstuck. Believe in yourself. You are the visionary and person in control of your life. Deep down in your soul, you know what you want out of this life. It’s just hard to pinpoint right now because you’re stuck. You have a unique set of gifts that you were born with to share with the world. But if you don’t believe in yourself, it all goes away.

How to shift your mindset:

1. Acknowledge and embrace your strengths and weaknesses.

2. View challenges as opportunities.

3. Choose the right habits and learning strategies.

4. Focus on the process, not the end result.

5. Reward your efforts and actions.

6. Set realistic goals and timeframes.

As a challenge for you this week, work on these 6 steps to begin the shift from fixed mindset to growth mindset. Which characteristic(s) do you most resonate with? Which step(s) will make the most difference for you this week?
