Growing Forward and Building Confidence


We’ve made it! How are you doing, friend? Have you put in place some new habits to shift your mindset into one of growth? Done some digging to educate yourself on trauma and what specific trauma might be holding you back? Taken steps to confront and heal that trauma for the benefit of future you? As I’ve mentioned many times over the last three weeks, this is a long process; not one that will be completed by the end of this workshop blog series. You are only just beginning, but I assure you, if you are still here, you are on the right path!


To quickly recap, this is a workshop-style blog series designed to help the woman who lives a life she is simply “okay” with at best. She is terrified to discover and work through complex trauma from her past. Terrified to want more, even though she knows damn well she has more than enough potential. As a Certified Transformational Life Coach, I know I am destined to help this woman on the path to the life she is meant to have.


In the first week, we talked about shifting your mindset to achieve your fullest potential. Week two included some education about trauma and complex trauma, and helpful tips to identify your own personal trauma that is holding you back. Then, in week three, we discussed how to begin the process of releasing and healing. Before you continue on with the fourth and final workshop in this series, I highly encourage you to read week one, week two, and week three before proceeding.


Believe in Yourself


In this fourth and final week of the series, let’s embark on a journey of confidently moving forward. I want you all to have the courage to know that your big, scary, seemingly unattainable dreams ARE within your grasp. Don’t shy away from the life you want. Say it out loud, face it, and believe that you are worthy of a life you are in love with. My goal is for you to use the tools you’ve acquired over the last month to build the life you want, not settle for the life you’re “okay” with. Prioritizing yourself and your needs to create a happier and healthier you.


Take Action


It takes a massive amount of courage to get unstuck and to do something different. To change your story. When it comes to feeling stuck, you have the choice to hide in fear or shine your light. Hiding is easy. But everything that you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of that comfort zone. You have to give yourself permission to shine your light. To take control of your life and become everything you’ve ever dreamed of becoming. The only thing that is holding you back right now is you.


Action steps:


1. Let it go: Find a coach who you vibe with and trust to help you dig down deep to forgive your past self and release any responsibility or guilt for past traumas.

2. Get really clear on what is important to you: What do you love and value. Recentering your life around the people and things that actually do matter to you can help you realign the actions that you take every day.

3. Release the need to do and be everything: It’s healthy and good to have goals, but your self-worth is not tied to your success or what you accomplish. You are worthy just the way you are.

4. Uncover your passions and your purpose: Journal it out. What makes you feel alive and inspired? What are you willing to fight for? What topics of conversation fire you up? When you become clear on your purpose and your passion, you build the momentum to live the life you’ve always wanted.


Build Momentum


Your mind is bigger than any reality and if you don’t believe that your dream is possible, then it won’t be. Whatever you believe to be true, is. Without realizing it, we always cut ourselves short and keep ourselves stuck. Because we didn’t believe it was possible to live any other way. I did not believe it was possible to be any other way. Other than valueless. I want you to start building belief in yourself and gain momentum to get unstuck. You can do this by asking yourself:

  • What have I overcome in life?

  • What are my successes?

  • What am I amazing at?

  • What is my zone of expertise?

  • What would my life look like if I followed my dreams?

  • What if I ignored everyone else’s hesitations and followed my own intuition?

So, what’s the first thing you’re going to do to get unstuck? You’ve come this far and completed this workshop… and you didn’t come this far to only come this far. What’s your next step?
